Welcome to Ottery Crickets Hockey Club

Ottery Crickets Hockey Club was established in 1995 with the amalgamation of two well respected teams from East Devon, Otter Vale and Exeter Crickets.

We have gone from strength to strength and now run three men's teams, two ladies' teams, a sociable mixed team and have a thriving Junior Academy linked to The King's School, Ottery St Mary.  We were very pleased to gain the England Hockey Board's ClubsFirst accreditation in September 2010 and, in June 2011, we followed this with national recognition from England Hockey - a "Big Heart" award for our work in the local community.

Our home ground is at The Colin Tooze Sports Centre which adjoins The King's School.

The men's teams play in the Davis Wood Hockey League and the ladies' teams in the West Clubs' Women's Hockey League .

Last weekend's poor weather disrupted our three Ladies' fixtures and the Mens 2nd's game. The postponed games will have to be rearranged - all details when they are known will be published here.

The match report for the Men's 1st's hard fought draw vs 3rd in the table Ashmoor on Sat 4th Feb is now in.

Make every effort to attend regular training - details below. Players are strongly encouraged to attend, despite the chilly weather, to help prepare themselves and their team for their matches next weekend.

The date for the Annual Dinner & Awards has been fixed: it is SATURDAY 24th MARCH @ The Bedford Hotel in Sidmouth. Put it in the diary now! Further details will appear shortly on the Message Board.
